July 19, 2023The Rasch Family, Owner of Benchmark Custom Homes Gives Back This Holiday Season Mark Rasch, Owner of Benchmark leads his employees thru the year building custom homes for his clients. This holiday season he led a team composed of family, friends, and church members to Mexico for a mission trip to build homes for the homeless people who were desperate for housing in Reynosa, Mexico. This year as a team, including other groups from different churches built 13 homes for families in need. The people in this small town are living on the streets; in a dump-filled area.
Sydney Rasch, a teammate, Benchmark employee, and daughter of Mark said “Building homes for the homeless in Reynosa, Mexico, has continued to shape my perspective on life. It’s more than screwing pieces of plywood and 2 x4’s together ; it’s about restoring dignity and loving on the community. Witnessing the impact on these families reaffirms that giving is a gift for not only the receiver, but more so the giver in my opinion. Everyone should experience these acts of kindness—it’s a journey that enriches lives and connects us all.”
A personal goal for Mark is to bring his Benchmark Employees on this mission trip to help in this much needed cause; as well as help increase the number of homes built for these less unfortunate people in need.
