Modernized and Reorganized.
Many homeowners are happy with the look of their house, but decide to renovate because they need spaces that work harder and better fit their lifestyle. They don’t want to move, but they would like to live an updated life.
New kitchens and baths are popular, as well as finishing out a lower level. Sometimes more space can be created by rethinking rooms you already have. Other times, an addition is the best way to gain the living area you want.
KITCHEN, HEARTH ROOM AND LOWER-LEVEL EXPANSION
This renovation created a beautiful, enlarged and better-organized kitchen cooking space, while lightening and brightening the work area and opening it up to an added breakfast and hearth room with stone fireplace and built-in storage areas. A new butler work area and closet storage replaced a cramped and cluttered desk, which was relocated. The resulting bump-out on the back of the house accommodated a generous new deck and an expanded lower level game room, and rerouted lower level traffic to an outdoor patio and play area. The happy home-owners love the new open feel of their space.
